As Trade Pressures Threaten Critical Contributors to America’s Economy and Security, New Coalition Campaigns for Targeted Exemptions to Keep Essential UTVs and ATVs Affordable for Working Americans
WASHINGTON, D.C., June 2, 2026 — Save America’s Working Vehicles launched today to ensure that America’s farmers, ranchers, energy producers, and front-line responders can afford the essential vehicles they need to do their jobs. This initiative comes in direct response to compounding trade pressures. Since August 18, 2025, off-road vehicles have been subject to a 50% tariff on their steel content, with no country exemptions. A revised Section 232 proclamation, effective April 6, 2026, further restructured these tariffs, applying a 25% tariff on the total customs value of most imported off-road vehicles.
Save America’s Working Vehicles will advocate for targeted relief from federal tariffs on finished off-road vehicles that threaten access to the UTVs and ATVs essential to the American workforce. President Trump has championed American workers, farmers, and national strength from day one. Providing relief for off-road working vehicles is an America First solution that allows the administration to protect the people who make the United States great.
