WASHINGTON, D.C., June 25, 2026 — Save America’s Working Vehicles Executive Director Todd Cranney issued the following statement on President Donald J. Trump’s recognition of the essential role of American farmers, ahead of this week’s White House dinner honoring agricultural producers and recent policy wins:
“President Trump’s decision to spotlight America’s farmers and ranchers at the White House, alongside recent trade and tax wins, is both timely and well-deserved. Our producers are not only the backbone of our food supply, but they are central to energy production and rural jobs in communities across the country.
“Yet the costs tied to the full range of farm vehicles and equipment remain a serious pressure point for producers. This is an ideal moment for the administration to pair its recognition of farmers with additional, targeted relief that lowers the cost of ATVs, UTVs, tractors, harvest equipment, pickups, and other vehicles that keep farms running. Doing so would provide immediate cost relief in the countryside, strengthen agricultural supply chains, and reinforce the long-term resilience of American agriculture.
“Save America’s Working Vehicles remains committed to working alongside policymakers and stakeholders to ensure that farmers, ranchers, and other essential industries have access to the tools they need to operate efficiently and competitively. Continued action will help secure economic growth, protect rural communities, and support the workforce that keeps America running.”
