“President Trump’s cuts to tariffs on agricultural equipment are commendable and clearly demonstrate his commitment to supporting American farmers and rural America. This positive first step partially reduces tariffs for ATVs, but the burden on our farmers and ranchers continues to compound.
“During a roundtable at a corn and soybean farm in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, last Friday, the President addressed the agriculture industry’s tariff concerns, saying, ‘you’re going to see some very good things happen over the next 90-day period.’ He also noted the administration is exploring solutions to help offset rising oil and fertilizer prices. President Trump has a golden opportunity to deliver an immediate, tangible victory for farmers by providing full tariff relief on working vehicles.
“Excluding other off-road utility vehicles from this relief misses an opportunity to close a massive gap for critical assets across agriculture, defense, energy production, and emergency response operations.
“Our newly formed coalition, Save America’s Working Vehicles, is dedicated to ensuring that the everyday tools driving our economy remain affordable. Through this work, we aim to support our nation’s workforce, foster economic growth, strengthen public safety, and safeguard our national security.
“Tariff relief is essential for the off-road utility vehicles that power America’s core economic engine. We encourage President Trump to follow through on his commitment to protect agricultural communities by removing tariffs on UTVs and ATVs, as a 10% reduction is simply not enough to alleviate the financial pressure on our heartland producers. Eliminating these duties entirely will ensure comprehensive support for the operators, technicians, and manufacturers who keep our economy running and power long-term prosperity.”
